Every woman needs a creative outlet. I'm sure men need one as well but I'll let someone else write to that audience. Whether you're a new mom suffering from lack of sleep or a corporate executive with too few hours in the day or maybe a college student burning the midnight oil to finish a paper. Creativity comes in many different ways. For me, it is writing to whoever will read it here and drawing. I have a friend who uses photography as an outlet and one who gardens. The idea is to find something where you invest energy into yourself and not others. I know that sounds selfish but we need to take care of ourselves as well as others. In the end, it rejuvenates us and we can care for those around us even better. If you feel like you should still be doing something for someone else, here's an idea. Make a flower basket and take it to a shut-in or someone who is sick. You are able to use your creativity to make the basket but you share it with someone else. Recently, I've found that I like to put my doodles on the front of greeting cards and use them for birthdays or holidays. I get to draw and express myself but I get to share the card with someone else. With that being said.... your homework is to find a creative outlet and post in the comments.
